I’m excited that my little middle-grade novel tickled the judges enough to win the Gold medal in middle-grade fantasy at the President’s Book Awards at the Florida Authors and Publishers Association. If you notice my expression, I was worried where my photographer was.
I had a great time, as we had a great table to mingle with and spend dinner talking.

Book Five of the DRC Files
The episodes continue for Kristen and the DRC team as they go up against a renegade coven who are willing to kill to get their way.
Starting off at a drive-in church in Daytona Beach felt like a fun place to open this episode. Kristen gets to learn a little more about the Consociation before they return to the winter paradise and stand against the coven. As always, hope you enjoy.
As always, Multiverse was a blast. Their new location is huge and we had some amazing panels!
If you’ve been to Multiverse, you know the vibe. If you haven’t, then join us next year for the funnest community out there. It’s safe for everyone and built that way. I had opportunites to make some new friends, and meet up with a slew of people that I know.
The panels were so much fun as we dug into topics you never see at conventions, though I got to moderate a Dr. Who panel where we focused on some of the newer developments over the past few seasons.

This con is always a blast, and I got to meet some new people (Shane and DJ) along with panelling beside people I’ve known for years such as Milton Davis.
I spent most of my time at High Fantasy Track with Jennifer and Jimmy Liang, but I did get a chance to jump into one Urban Fantasy panel over at the Weston and meet up with Jennifer Morris.

I’m a little late on posting but I had a great time. The panels were on fire and I got to meet some new people all around. DRC Files were the most popular series on my table though Khimmer Chronicles sold well too.
Word of South was amazing!
Being so close to home I got to meet up with friends like Pete from the Crumbox – an infamous character in the Khimmer Chronicles since he suggested Ahnjii’s location.
Music, art, and tons of bookstores and authors! I couldn’t imagine a happier place.
This was possibly one of my favorite JordanCons!
First I got to help my Klingon mate teach a fine crew how to make book hedgehogs, then I was off to sign anthologies which support the Mayo Clinic, then staff the Authors Workshop Track where we help writers with reviews and hands-on activities. Best ever.
This is a new favorite convention with a hundreds of readers who love to talk about books and writing! The panels were a blast and everyone was having fun. Met some great people and reconnected with a few. I hope to be invited back again next year!
SYFY Bartow is always a magical event and this year was no exception!
Sold some books, met some readers, and had a fabulous time.
Started Superstars with a walk through Gardens of the Gods, as usual. Got to hang out with a few people I already knew and meet a couple new ones.
The tour guide is great.
Craft day ended up having some awesome moments with Craig Martelle and Jim Butcher. There were some tips I’ll be putting to use.
Dinner with Jonathan Maberry was a blast as was the party hosted by Jeff Hays of Soundbooth Theatre. I was able to moderate some panels and sneak into a few more to bring home a number of actionable plans for writing and marketing.
