Book One of the Khimmer Chronicles
Launched on December 17th while I was vending at Spookala, the book had the strongest opening of any of my books with reviews and KU page reads that continue to rise. I’m really excited about this series and the feedback has been encouraging.

As you can imagine there were a lot of scientific, nerdy panels and wonderful guests.
I had the opportunity to be a panelist in a discussion about planning for the next decade milestone; Deep South Con 70.
Next year’s DSC 61 is at LibertyCon and DSC 62 was voted to be held in Helen, Georgia.
Panels, booths, and books!
Multiverse is an amazing convention with ten tracks of panels, a huge vendor hall and art show, and a consuite that doesn’t disappoint.
I represented Inkd Pub and our focus was on the Hidden Villains anthology, but I managed to sneak a few of my books onto the table!
Had a wonderful time at Necronomicon speaking on writing, indie publishing, Dr. Who, and other topics. Met some great people and hope to see them again soon. This is a great con with a strong gaming and LARP track. Oldest convention in Florida!
This year I spent most of my time over at High Fantasy volunteering. I squeezed in a little time at the Urban Fantasy track, but not as much as usual.
There was a ton of great cosplay, and just a few shenanigans.
April picked up third place in the cosplay contest while I pitched books in the vendor’s hall. We met some really good people and look forward to seeing them again at Spookala.

The trip to North Carolina takes about eight hours but the scenery was gorgeous and Congregate was worth every minute. I’m hoping to fit this one into my regular rotation.
Book sales were great and I made a new fans, some who read the beginning of Shattered Blood before buying Penumbra, and others who came back Saturday morning after reading the first book Friday night. I met some wonderful people and got to know others even more.

The booth setup went well with a big thanks to Joey and Duncan for the assist. Gratefully we had a lot less books to bring home and had some space for the 20+ hour ride!
The Guest of Honor, Fonda Lee
We were honored to carry Fonda Lee’s novels for the convention and every book sold out by the time she finished her signing. She, and her books, are fabulous. I enjoyed every minute.
I had a chance to try out my new backdrop right in front of our bookstore.
Met some people, sold some books, and the weather held until about an hour before the event was about to end.

What a great time at JordanCon 2022!
April won an award at the costume contest, we met old friends and new, and I was honored to sign Neither Beginnings Nor Endings: The JordanCon 2022 Anthology with a room full of artists and authors. Proceeds will go to the Mayo Clinic.
